Intertec Group named sole distributor for Huawei Mobiles

Intertec Group is the sole distributor of Huawei Mobiles in Qatar, senior officials from both companies announced yesterday.
“Intertec group is a leading multi divisional company with diverse business activities,” Intertec Group’s division manager Asraf N K told a press conference.

SES-15 Arrives at Kourou for Launch Onboard Soyuz

SES (Euronext Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG) announced today that the SES-15 satellite has arrived at the European space Center in Kourou, French Guiana, in preparation for its launch by a Soyuz vehicle in April 2017.

Vodafone organises digital safety activity for students

Vodafone organised its AmanTECH Digital Safety activity at the Ministry of Transport and Communications’ (MoTC) TumuhaTEC Youth Festival held during the recent Qitcom, which informed schools, children and parents about online safety.
The festival saw 2,500 students from 50 Qatari and international schools taking part with more than 500 students participating in the AmanTECH activity.
The activity required the children to perform tasks related to safety online to learn specific skills, including identifying fake news versus real, safe online gaming, self-image and reputation online.

Vodafone’s Red Key for calls, roaming data

Vodafone has announced the launch of another innovation, Red Key, a new add-on available exclusively on postpaid consumer Red plans.
The facility brings international calls and roaming data in one bundle “for the first time in Qatar”, Vodafone has said in a press statement.
This follows the launch of Vodafone’s innovative Bill Manager service.

Ooredoo has announced the VIP launch of its new 10Gbps Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) service at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
