Katara wins Arab Tourism Media Oscar award

the Cultural Village Foundation won an Arab Tourism Media Oscar award while representing Qatar at the ninth Arab Tourism Media Summit – 2017 in Dubai, the UAE.
During the ceremony, Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti was also granted the title of ‘First Government Leader’ for being the leader of the “most prominent and unique cultural institute to be established within the Arab region”, according to a press statement.

Qatar’s Manhaf claimed first honours at the 36th annual Al Marmoum Hertige Festival, when winning the opening race at the twelve-day camel racing extravaganza which got off to a thunderous start at the Dubai Camel Racing Club’s headquarters on Wednesday.
Competing in a race for female camels, Manhaf, owned by Faraj Salim Hafeez Al Marie, crossed the finish line first to land a cash prize of Dh100,000.
