Qatar takes part in 11th Session of IslamicConference of Tourism Ministers in Baku

QNABakuQatar participated in the 11th Session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers held in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku.The delegation of Qatar to the conference was headed by Ambassador of Qatar to Azerbaijan HE Faisal bin Abdullah Al Hanzab, with the participation of Qatar Tourism.The Baku Declaration issued at the conclusion of the session congratulated Qatar on hosting the major sporting event, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, noting that hosting of the tournament for the first time in an Islamic country would contribute to strengthening the tourism sector within the Islamic world.The conference endorsed the nomination of Qatar to the Coordination Committee on Tourism to implement the framework of development and cooperation among the member states of the organization for the next four years, from 2022 to 2026.
