Sheraton set to ring in Earth Hour

Doha: Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel will join millions of people across the world in the observance of Earth Hour on March 25, 2023 who will switch lights off for an hour – to raise awareness for the planet. Earth Hour is an initiative launched by WWF (World Wildlife Fund), a global call to take responsibility and action and thus lead the way towards a sustainable future.The Earth Hour movement symbolises the impact that can be had by working together to protect the future.

To mark the event, the hotel has prepared a series of unique activities to inspire guests and visitors to join in the efforts towards protecting the planet. Guests and visitors can join the soothing Yoga with Vishnu session under the stars, in the hotel’s resort garden area from 8pm to 9pm for QR80 per person. To make the evening more indulgent, Al Hubara Terrace will be warmly lit by candlelight from 9pm to 2am where guests can enjoy a wide selection of traditional Ramadan specials for a suhoor buffet accompanied by live music.

As a symbol of its commitment to the environment, the hotel has prepared an Earth Hour emblem candle lighting on a grand scale at the lobby, signifying the importance of the effort in promoting sustainability.

Sheraton Grand Doha also has exclusive rates on iftar at Al Hubara, suhoor at Al Hubara Terrace, or a la carte at Jamavar Doha to guests who present proof of participating in any of the Earth Hour activities at the hotel. This initiative is a way to encourage guests to not only enjoy the unique activities but also to partake in the underlying effort to promote environmental sustainability.
