Doha: The Commercial Bank and Qatar University recently awarded the student winners for the first creative competition which was jointly launched by the two leading institutions in October.

During the award ceremony, winners for the design competition were recognised for creating a modern banking experience which was primarily suitable for the students at the university.

Enjoying a sole and exclusive presence inside the Qatar University Metro Station, Commecial Bank aimed through the contest, to allocate a dedicated space for students, a space they would visit to escape, study, learn about finance, make their own, and to use as they see best.

Qatar University students were requested to come up with an idea of how to use the allocated space at the Commercial Bank branch at Qatar University Metro Station, name their project, and pitch in their ideas.

From the 29 entries, six finalists have been selected by the panel of judges, for their concepts that really stood out.

Winners for the competition include Batool Alshaikh and Ola Hwari who won a prize of QR10,000 each, plus an internship at Commercial Bank. They will also work with the professional design team to see how their idea can be brought to life.
