What is callisthenics?
Originally, callisthenics was a method of promoting health, but it’s evolved into a training method that shares a lot in common with gymnastics. Unlike gymnastics, though, it can be practised outdoors and is known as a ‘street workout’.
According to the Guinness World Records, the calisthenics park in Qatar measures 1446.72 square metres and was achieved by the National Service Academy (Qatar), in Doha on February 4. 'The National Service Academy attempted this record title to celebrate Qatar's National Sports Day on February 9. The callisthenics park both holds national callisthenics tournaments and is open for the general public to use.'
